Expedition Guide
Kristin was born and raised on the east coast of Sweden. During her childhood, sports and competition were always in her focus and parallel with that, the love for nature and adventure grew.
After high school, she decided to want to work on all continents before she dies and headed to Antarctica as a nineteen-year-old. This was the first time she worked as part of a team and enjoyed it so much so she decided to become a guide.
Nowadays, Kristin lives in Svalbard, where she works as an expedition guide with small breaks to go back to explore Antarctica.
What is your most memorable Antarctic experience?
“I will never forget the first time I camped in Antarctica. It was long after midnight and I was the only one still awake. The sky had for hour’s changes its colour from the prettiest pink to the sharpest orange. It was the most beautiful thing I have seen and I couldn’t get myself to bed that night.”
